Add some life to this old web design

While the world economy has many companies wen design are concerned, has led others to thrive. You could say that in 2009 the year for web designers. In recent months, businesses have the goal of the money that went back to the traditional media and changed the “real world” into the world of the Internet.

It is assumed that the Internet be able to reach a wider audience in the world at a fraction of the price should be increased to a much shorter range in the real world.

Everything seems good in theory, but what really happens behind closed doors?

“Web Design horribly wrong”

Most designers have no real understanding of the conversion and use, while most website owners looking for a complete overhaul, so we really need is to change its current design.

By accessing and modifying the current design, you can see what works and what does not. I saw that change color in the key of the payment to an increase in lead conversion.

Small adjustments can be large differences.

The problem is not that most people understand the difference between spending and investment. Your site must be an investment rather than costs, done correctly, you should be able to recover their money within one or two months.

“Do not Make Me Think”

Today it is more important than ever to understand, to work as its content, graphics and action to call each other. The visitor is for information and want faster than ever before. If your site a little confused, then go check for the competition.

The visitor has access to important information about your site, have without seeking. And we must remember that since most people find your site via search engines, and you can enter the site on every page, it is necessary to have information about your company have in all companies.

“Content is King”

In the virtual world the web designers, there is information overload and too much can hurt your site. No matter where we are waiting for information is increasingly the time that we can link to your website so tired that he does not interest us know what you mean. It is important not to try to hunt and to paint a picture.

Do not get me wrong, some sites may require a complete overhaul, but others only need a few adjustments.

Cleaning Your Web Site

I spend much time and spending a lot of money searching the web for better ways to do what I’m doing.

But one thing that always amazes me, the Web sites that give me too many options. I have spent much time online and feel I have a good understanding of the Internet and how it works, yet I was overwhelmed and confused when they give me too many options.

In most cases step 60 seconds web design on the page and then decide it’s not worth the time and effort, I close and continued my search elsewhere. If this is the normal routine for me then I wonder how many more are doing the same.

As a website owner need to understand that a visitor to a website is likely to be overwhelmed with too many options.

How To Decide Whether to Hire a Web Designer or a Web Developer

Most people begin their website project with a search for a professional web designer or web developer and don’t even realize that there is a difference between the two. However, they are very different types of people and they both come to your project with their own points of view. Deciding what type of site you need will be the first step in determining what type of person you need for the project.

The Type of Website you Need: Static or Dynamic

The first place to begin when choosing who to build your site, is to decide whether you are going to need a static or a dynamic website. A static website is sometimes called a “brochure website”. On a static site, once all the information has been uploaded to the server, it stays the same. It only changes when a webmaster goes out to the site and makes updates. Therefore, all users see the same thing. It’s much like handing out a traditional business brochure. All of your customers see the same thing until you have your brochure redone.

With a dynamic website, what the user sees will change, based on their input and thus is a more complicated and costly type of website. A dynamic website requires advanced programming to operate correctly. The programs must execute different results, based on what the user requests. A “search” feature is one dynamic element contained on most websites. Any ecommerce site is an example of a dynamic website.

Form - The Web Designer

The web designer’s job is to focus on the layout and look of a website. They choose the color scheme and make decisions on how the text and graphics are displayed. They are concerned with the impression the site gives the visitor and how the visitor will navigate around the site. They are usually skilled in Photoshop and other graphic software. Many web designers begin their careers as graphic artists and are skilled at getting the site to have the “look and feel” that you want. They create your image on the Internet. Web designers usually have the skills needed to create static websites on their own.

Function - The Web Developer

Web developers, on the other hand are programmers. They usually handle more complicated sites and know various scripting languages. Their focus is on the interactive features of a site such as the shopping cart for an ecommerce site or a survey form or an order form. You will need the services of a web developer for a dynamic website. Which to Choose

Knowing what kind of site you need in the beginning is important because if you hire a web designer to build your website and you did not factor into the requirements that you were going to need, for example, an advanced multiage form, you will end up with a very nice looking website that does nothing for you. If you go the other way and have a web developer build your site, you could wind up with a very functional site that looks terrible. Design is always going to be secondary to a developer. If you need a dynamic website and the person you’re considering is more of a designer, the project can still be successful. Just be sure to have them show you some websites with some dynamic functionality that they have built to make sure that can handle your job.

If the person you are considering is more of a developer, check their portfolio and make sure that they have the resources to partner with designers to produce a high quality website.

If you’re still not sure which way to go, web designer or web developer, you would be better off leaning towards the web designer because the designer deals with that all-important first impression. Most Internet users decide within the first 3 seconds, whether or not they are going to stay on a site. Your project will be successful with a web designer as long as they have good web development resources as their disposal.

Usability - Where Form and Function Meet

Usability refers to how quickly and easily users can accomplish what they want to do, on your site. If your site is difficult or frustrating, they will quickly leave. You need your website to achieve your business objectives and if it’s not, then it is not a design problem, it is not a development problem, it is a usability problem. Usability is the common thread that binds form and function together. .

When considering who to hire to build your website, a web designer or a web developer, be aware that they both have their strengths and limitations. A web designer will give you the right colors and the right look for your site and they understand what people respond to. The developer will give you the interactive elements for your site such as a shopping cart, a sign-up form or other dynamic functionality. However, design and development must work together to get your customer to buy your product or to contact you about your services.

If your site is visually appealing, allows the user to quickly and easily do business with you, then you have hit on the perfect marriage of form and function to produce a site that excels in usability, which translates into success!

Making Effective Web Sites & Designing

The aim is to entertain, to provide information or graphics, or provide services unique? Or, perhaps, is more than that!

If it is for a company trying to capture the attention of new customers, provide information on products and services, do market research, or provide customer service? Do you also intend to focus on its service?

How the design and implementation of your site support your goals?

Shop online

If your site is a commercial site, most Internet users are on your site with the intention of obtaining information. Not there for “a total experience of the soul”, or entertainment, or pleasure to see a fabulous site. “

They want to know things like:

“What options are available and at what price?”

“What are the characteristics of their products and services?”

“How can I contact your company?”

“Where and how can I buy your products?”

Do you have a product or service? “

A website is an important commercial link to his business and, in some cases, will be the main option in which your customers and others who interact with you in the future.

During early childhood the soul of many companies wanted to have a presence on the Web “as graphics, advertising agencies, and the new generation of corporate website design. Although these companies have good experience in the graphic arts, most of them were fairly new to creating websites ball. Being too much in graphics and appearance tried to entertain the same way as print ads or commercials advertising.

However, an effective website needs a lot more than that. It should begin with a definition of needs, to assess the needs of society and the best way to be served through the Web. This should be followed by careful design and planning phase. The next phase is the construction and testing of the site.

But the pitfall is that the site must be updated to maintain and be in the air. Many sites are designed not to adhere to these aspects. It must also examine the operations of the site, such as guaranteed response time and availability.

If you want to create a website that really makes sense, you should consider engaging the services of an architect of systems, before contacting with graphics or rental companies Java programmers. An architect plans for your site as a system designed to meet their business objectives, not just a series of interlinked HTML pages.

Make your site easy to navigate

Seriously, your work and how different elements are linked. How is the navigation information for the user?

Someone could, after visiting your site, make a diagram showing how the different elements that are connected and how to move from one place to another?

If someone comes to your site for a particular item of information, Is it easy to find?

How is that a number of visitors from all the things you see or do on your site?

How can a visitor how to navigate your site in particular?

How do I know if the visitors who saw all this?

How can a visitor to say what they have and have not seen?

Make it easier for a user to determine what is new and when things have changed.

A site that is difficult to navigate will be difficult to maintain.

Complexity of limiting the size of your site.

Complexity, it is difficult to test your site.

Ten Tips For Hiring the Right Web Designer

The recruitment of the right web designer is a must if you plan to create a professional website. The question is how to choose the web designer. This is the first in a series of two that will help you make the right decision.

1. Ask about references

You need to find options. You can search the web designers for the local telephone directory or search for websites on the Internet, but the truth is that the best way to find a web designer to do a good job is to talk with people who have used the design of the fabric. Talk with others in your field. Talk to others who have worked as editors. Question, and you can hear good things about a couple of web designers, at least.

2. Get 3 quotes

Given that the price will be a factor in web design you choose, and prices vary widely, you should always get a minimum of three offers three web designers. But the comparison is not the only reason for these appointments. You can also learn something about web design service: If you do not have to react quickly before you are a customer, imagine how he will react after it has already had its business.

You do not want to work with a web designer who has just started, if you want a professional quality website. You should ask about their experience. This does not mean only the number of years have been active in this field but also how many sites have created during this period and the number of customers they have worked. The greatest experience of your web designer has the best, but it also means more experience higher costs.

4. Meet their needs

Also make sure your web designer can meet your needs. If you want interactive features on your site or if you want some Flash demos, you must make sure your web designer can provide these features. Do not rely on a web designer who has no experience in these areas.

5. View Portfolio

Web designers often include links to samples of their work on their websites. If not, you should see on the display of your portfolio. You have to see for yourself what these designers are able to do before signing on the dotted line.

If not, you want May to ask if you can contact their former clients to give you an idea of their capabilities.

8. Request Support

With a little web designers, when your site is completed, their relationship is over. It is probably not what you want. With luck, you can choose a web designer that provides support, which means that we will be happy to answer your questions on your site, even after it has been in place for months.

9. Shared vision

An important element in choosing a web designer is to share your vision of your site. If not, then you will find the process frustrating, time, and disappointing. Ultimately, you will end up with a website are not satisfied. Explain to potential web designers you are looking for and open to their ideas, but remember that the site and the final decisions on the site should be yours.

10. Sign a contract

With a Web Designer, you must sign a written contract that outlines your entire agreement. If a web designer does not use written contracts, we must look elsewhere. If there is a dispute over their agreement, both parties will benefit from conditions in writing.

There are principally two types of web sites the ones that the purpose is sales and the others that are non-commercial.  Nowadays, internet is being used for business aspects. Is because of this I am going to talk about the commercial websites. Your have to count with some aspects for a commercial website.

The division of content into de page must be proportioned by the designer, He should be also aware about the division of the content when the website is not selling tangible products.

There are also the other types of web pages that provide services without including sales. They provide other services such as , information, games downloads and so on.
